Forged in the Field.
Not a Boardroom.
Tektite Energy was founded on a simple premise: fragmented compliance and disconnected engineering teams create unacceptable risk. We unify these disciplines to protect your assets and your bottom line.
Built on Scientific Rigor
Tektite’s founder, Tim Hazen, began his career grounded in scientific principles, earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology and applying that rigor to environmental consulting. This foundation instilled a core belief: effective EHS management starts with precise data and a deep understanding of subsurface and surface dynamics.
That technical discipline was pressure-tested over a decade at XTO Energy and ExxonMobil, navigating the operational complexities of the Bakken Shale. In this super major environment, Tim mastered the systems—from Behavior-Based Safety to Operational Risk Management—that enable enterprises to mitigate risk at scale. It was a masterclass in how to build programs that deliver not just compliance, but true operational continuity.
Upon transitioning to serve independent operators, a critical gap became clear. Talented producers were caught in a state of fragmented chaos, forced to manage a dozen specialized contractors who rarely communicated. They faced missed Quad Oa/b/c deadlines, inadequate SPCC plans, and the constant threat of costly fines from the Texas RRC or EPA. The administrative burden was immense, and the risk was unacceptable. Tektite Energy was built to fix this.
Our Core Pillars
These are the non-negotiable standards that govern every project we touch.
Zero-Incident Culture
Safety is not a metric; it is our baseline. We engineer solutions that inherently protect your personnel, assets, and the environment.
Operational Certainty
We eliminate the guesswork from regulatory compliance and engineering. When Tektite is on the job, your operational continuity is guaranteed.
Data-Driven Precision
From thermal drone mapping to reservoir analytics, we rely on hard data to diagnose risk and deploy targeted, cost-effective interventions.
